The Aces followed up one of their worst losses of the season (111-58 vs. MIN) with one of their most timely (101-77 vs. GSV) in their quest to secure a spot in the WNBA playoffs. Their previous win against the Valkyries was a dominant start-to-finish effort, with the Aces leading 50-25 at halftime and ultimately cruising to victory. Jewell Loyd had a terrific game off the bench, scoring 27 points, shooting a blistering 7-for-11 from the 3-point line.
Golden State has a chance to re-take the No. 7 seed as its previous loss dropped them beneath the Aces by a half-game in the standings. They found themselves behind early against the Aces on Sunday, and while they found their scoring touch in the second half, they couldn't defend enough to make up the 25-point halftime deficit. Iliana Rupert led the team with 17 points and eight rebounds.
