Six more are set to join Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman in the long in the works sequel to 1998s witchy-themed supernatural dramedy film Practical Magic at Warner Bros. Pictures.

Susanne Bier (Bird Box, The Perfect Couple) directs the feature with Bullock and Kidman reprising their roles as witch sisters Sally and Gillian Owens, who in the original movie fight a family curse that dispatches the men with whom they fall in love.

Joining them are Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing who will reprise their roles as eccentric aunts with a deep knowledge of coven life.

Joining them will be Lee Pace (Foundation), Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones), Xolo Maridue�a (Blue Beetle) and Solly McLeod (The Dead Dont Hurt). Joey King was previously reported as also co-starring as one of Bullocks daughters.

The original film was based on the novel by Alice Hoffman and juggled themes and ideas of sisterhood, female empowerment and domestic abuse.

Akiva Goldman, who co-wrote the first movie, co-wrote the script for this installment with Georgia Pritchett. Bullock, Kidman and Denise Di Novi with filming currently underway ahead of a September 18th 2026 release.
