A Nigerian woman has publicly called out a popular shipping company, SkyCargo, accusing them of fraudulently inflating the declared weight of her shipment and charging her an extra �40,000. She voiced her frustrations in a viral video shared via her TikTok account.

According to the aggrieved customer, she sent an item weighing 9.5kg to Nigeria, but upon delivery, SkyCargo claimed the package weighed 12.5kg, which dramatically increased her total bill. She expressed her anger and disbelief at the discrepancy, stating that she had personally weighed the product before shipping and also confirmed the weight with her supplier abroad.

[/p]In the video, she revealed that this was not the first time she suspected foul play from the company, saying, I noticed SkyCargo has been adding extra kg to peoples goods. It happened to me twice before, but I wasnt certain. So this time, I used one of my packages as a test to catch them red-handed.
She explained how a friend of hers had also complained about similar issues recently, prompting her to conduct this test shipment. I bought a mannequin. I knew the exact weight and confirmed it with my supplier. When it got to SkyCargo, they didnt disclose the weight before shipping. After it arrived, they claimed it was 12.5kg, she said in frustration.
From where? This item is supposed to be 8kgat most 9 or 9.5kg. My husband picked up the package and when we checked it ourselves, it was 9.5kg. Yet, they billed me for 12.5kg.
The angry customer questioned the companys honesty and the justification for the inflated bill. Whats their stupid explanation? You cant just add almost �40k to someones goods and expect us to keep quiet. How much are we even making from this business? You will hear from meI wont calm down. You people are cheats.
The womans revelation has since gone viral across social media platforms, sparking outrage and mixed reactions in the comment sections. Many Nigerians, especially importers and small business owners, have shared their own disappointing experiences with the shipping company and other logistics firms, lamenting frequent overcharges and dubious practices within the industry.
